Are you into thrash, speed metal and everything heavy? Then you’re going to love featured artist Ashes Of Your Enemy. They’ve been around since 2005 and are currently supporting their most recent album Anthem.
Ashes Of Your Enemy
We had a chance to sit down with singer Kevin Schormann who is also an audio engineer and produced their current project. Over the past 10 years they have shared the stage with some of the biggest names in Thrash, most recently with the band Testament. Take a listen to the interview with Kevin in the video. We listen to their single “Hate Anthem” which is about basically anyone you need to vent to. Kevin says that ironically he was actually in a great mood the day he wrote the tune, lol. Take a listen and tweet us what you think at @IndieMusicPlus.
Kevin says in the interview that recently he told the band he thought they should step up their game a bit. Playing metal shows is not necessarily a stroll in the park, and it’s quite a physical workout. Have you seen metal bands lately? THEY ARE INSANE. The band loves what they are doing and aren’t going to stop anytime soon.
Kevin makes some great points in his interview on Indie Music LIVE! when he talks about staying in shape for shows and how the band practices how it performs. This is important for any musician. So, for this band it means they must come to rehearsal with energy and be ready to rock because on stage the crowd energy alone could exhaust a normal human. As Dave states, “Thrashers are people too.” I personally would go further and say they could quite possibly be SUPER human. Look for a fall EP coming up and until then check out the band and SUPPORT INDIE MUSIC!
