Christa Deana is a Christian singer/songwriter from Philadelphia, PA. She states in her video “Bio” that her music is about her “spiritual journey.” Having grown up in CCM, I can assert that there are some really great Christian musicians and also some really bad ones. Well, I’m happy to say that Christa Deana is going to blow you away…and it’s time to go to church!
Christa Deana – If God Doesn’t Want It
First comparisons that come to mind are Jill Scott with a little Esperanza Spalding sprinkled in. One of the things that grabs me about Christa’s music is the quality. She doesn’t cut any corners when it comes to presenting a high quality product for her listeners. Also, it doesn’t seem like she’s planning on stopping anytime soon as it seems she has dedicated her life to making music and ministering through it with the good Word.
I’m very impressed with the music of Christa Deana. Not only is she a super talented singer/songstress, but her vocal abilities have also enabled her to grace the classical world with leads in classics such as Handel’s Messiah, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Vivaldi’s Gloria, and lead songs in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance. This girl is a massive talent and I’m excited to see where her career and ministry will head in the future. Keep your ears out for more music from Christa Deana!
I’m curious to hear what YOU think about Christa’s music. Get in touch with her on social media and let her know what you think and that you heard her music here first on Indie Music Plus. As always, thank you for reading and continuing to support indie music of all genres!
