Richard Lynch – Country Music Isn’t Country Anymore – Review

Richard LynchRichard Lynch is a true country musician who has been releasing new music consistently for many years now. I’m writing to talk about his new song “Country Music Isn’t Country Anymore” and boy, do I agree!! We’ve reviewed Richard’s music before HERE and I must say, I’m growing to be a bigger and bigger fan every time I hear his music!

Richard Lynch – Country Music Isn’t Country Anymore

If you have read my reviews before then you know that County music isn’t my forte as a critic. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. However, I’ve also said before that if I’m going to listen to country then I’m going to listen to REAL country, i.e. Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Patsy Cline, etc….the OG country if you will.

When the song “Country Music Isn’t Country Anymore” starts off, one of the first lines I hear is “My daddy played Merle Haggard loud enough to shake the shingles on the roof” and I love it. Ok, hands down Richard Lynch is not only an amazing authentic country artist but he’s also a great songwriter. Just listen to some of the lyrics in this instant classic and you’ll see what I mean. He’s intelligent in his delivery and sometimes a bit snarky to the country music scene of today.

I’m so glad there is a country artist that’s willing to stand up for real country, even though I’m not deep into the country music scene. I feel like it’s been hijacked by pop artists as of late, where an exodus has become commonplace by artists just looking to make more money. If you’re looking for an authentic country tune to jam while driving the old truck around, then I encourage you to check out this new single by Richard Lynch! Rich has proven himself time and time again to be a true country musician and it doesn’t look like he’s stopping anytime soon!
