The Noble Kind – Circles In My Head – Review

The Noble KindThe Noble Kind is a trio that plays Indie Folk music that are based in the same town I reside…Rochester, NY! They’re from my area but I hate to say I’ve never heard of them before their submission. They have recently released a new single “Circles In My Head” so let’s dig into it.

The Noble Kind – Circles In My Head

My initial impressions are that this band is really good. Simple, but good. You probably aren’t going to hear any slashing guitar solos, but what you are going to hear is some great songwriting. Plus, chick bass players are always really cool! Chelsea Sprague does a great job laying down the low end.

It seems as if this group is young and has some growing to do, but this song is a great representation of what they are capable of. Shayne Priddy ‘s voice floats ever so lightly over the instruments. He has a smooth tone and his guitar playing is pretty good as well. I’m not a huge fan of the solo in the middle of the song but hey, I can’t win it all lol.

I can easily draw a comparison to an alternative band like The Sundays. Fans of that band and other older style alternative music are going to love The Noble Kind. They describe their music as “a unique way to share experiences, beliefs, feelings and aspirations.” The lyric video below isn’t much to look at but don’t let that discourage you from listening to the music. Fans of Christian music will also enjoy this group as in their bio it states that they’re available for worship services as well as concerts.

Being that this group looks like they are really young, they make up for it with their musical abilities. If they play their cards right I wouldn’t be surprised if they started receiving massive college airplay with their unique style. I’m excited to see where this band goes and I’m hoping to catch them live locally sometime soon.

I curious what YOU think of The Noble Kind. Let me and them know on social media and let them know that you heard them first right here. As always, thank you for reading and your continued support of Indie Music Plus and indie music of all genres!
