DJ R3V3R3ND MURD3R - Kill 'M AllDJ R3V3R3ND MURD3R is an interesting character. He’s one of those artists that stands behind his music and you don’t ever see his face, like the man behind the green curtain. He’s peculiar, unique and interesting. We’ve reviewed his music a couple of times here on the site. Check out other reviews here and here.

The thing that I like about the DJ is that his approach is artful and one of a kind. Even if you don’t dig on ALL of the music, one can appreciate the overall theme and artistic value in his projects. I would almost label his music as more “Industrial” in genre with hip hop influences.

His latest release “KILL ‘M ALL” is just another example of art making music and music making art. Honestly, I’m not exactly sure what’s going on in this single but it’s keeping me interested. First off, it’s over 10 minutes long. I don’t see many songs that length anymore since the “single” has generally taken over the album in the music industry. Metal fans are going to love this one as it sits heavy in the, well, heaviness. As ComaRecordz put it – “this is the perfect soundtrack to the end of the world.” I would have to agree! It switches back and forth from soundscape to metal-scape.

Metal lovers are going to love what and how this song start out as…and electronica and dance lovers are going to love how the song ends! Let’s just say it takes a left turn about half way thru! If you’re not paying attention you’re going to get the impression you’re onto another song, but WAIT! After a brief interlude of phat electronica he transitions right back into metal. The way I’m describing it sounds like the song is a mish-mash of styles, but the DJ brings them together almost like magic. Kudos!
