The man with the “easily-typed-into-my-browser” name is back with another masterpiece. Ok, ok. I like to tease DJ R3V3R3ND MURDER about his name, but this dude is really talented and I am a fan of the music he is putting out there. While earlier projects dabbled in hip-hop and EDM, his newest seems to be something different all together. And even though this album may be a little heavy on intro, hype and build up, the reverend does not fail to deliver.
DJ R3V3R3ND MURD3R – Welcome To Hell
Welcome to Hell is full of adventure and at times confusion. It is not your typical lighthearted pick me up club jam album…so if that is what you are looking for, keep looking. Welcome to Hell sounds exactly what you think it may sound like. It sounds like it was borne from the depths of hell, I’ll explain…
There are multiple moments of chaos among the beats and melodies. I really believe this is all part of the vision of the whole project. You can’t escape the dark undertone throughout and the feeling that something just isn’t right. It’s part musical genius and part like someone forgot to take their medication on the way to the studio. After listening for a while, you may start to hear voices. I think the murderous one wants us to listen to his voices on this one. And they are speaking loud and clear.
Welcome to Hell is an album that will make you pay attention. This one is for the dedicated fans who want to hear an artist truly say something real or express the inner workings of his soul. It’s clear that DJ R3V3R3ND MURD3R was going through something during the creation of this project and he wants you to pay attention. Open your mind. Open your ears. And see if you can figure out what he’s trying to say. You might just learn something about yourself. And if not, I guarantee you will learn a little something about hell!
