Deep Silent – Featured Artist

I have a confession to make. For the past 3 months all I have listened to is black metal. I love all genres of music (except “New Country,” Ssssh.), I really do. If it’s got a beat and a halfway decent melody, I’m probably tapping my foot or somehow moving along to the music, but I gotta tell ya…Thrash & Metal are genres of music that I REALLY LIKE. That’s one big reason I’m extra excited about this week’s featured artist – Deep Silent!! If you like absolute brutal metal from Colombia, you have stumbled across the right page my friend.

I would like to introduce to Deep Silent. With bands like this, the music truly speaks for itself and it means something. In their bio they state, “Deep Silent aims to preserve the characteristic sound of Melodic Death Metal, our lyrics are based on the deeper aspects of being.” Hailing from from Pereira, Colombia, this band is making their mark. I remember when I first heard their submission…I didn’t even think twice about adding them to the featured artist list for 2015.

Deep Silent’s music is some of the best indie metal I have heard to recent date. Their image is put together and anyone looking at their pic can tell they are a unit. Not a “band” but a UNIT.
