Ace “Antonio” Jonez is a hip-hop artist out of Atlanta, GA, and North Carolina. He’s been making music since the age of 17. Hip hop has always been his first love and he’s recently released a new single called “Higher Vibration.”
If you’ve listened to rap and hip hop before you’re probably thinking “ok, higher vibration another rap song about weed or sex.” WRONG. “Higher Vibration” is actually more about being high on life and being motivated for higher things. The tune starts out with a guitar riff and a simple melody. Overall, the mood is mellow. Ace raps over top of the guitar and a mixed version of the melody. And, he sounds good! Ace is young in life and his career but he certainly has some great potential!

Now, you know my ears are sensitive. With this track in particular it sounds distorted to me, not just one, but the whole track in general. It’s not so bad that it’s unlistenable but to me it’s noticeable. That is probably my biggest critique about the tune. Otherwise, crank it up! I love rappers that take a different path and aren’t constantly talking about women and drugs. Real-life, real talk.
