Danama - Come Alive

Danama is a new musical duo hailing from Kent, UK. They’ve only recently released their first single under Only Ambition Recordings, but I think they’re nailing it and I love their sound. Seriously, this duo has a bright future and it’s starting NOW! If you’re into spacey yet tight and funky, then hit play on the link below! Let’s just say that I already can’t wait to hear more and here’s why…

DANAMA – Come Alive

Their single “Come Alive” was released on Jan 11 and I’m already wanting more. According to the band “Come Alive” is an “unapologetic and liberated personal anthem for befriending one’s inner critic voice and letting go of all inhibitions by means of the night”. First off, the production is stellar so we can get any critiques of that out of the way right now. The duo, Rachel Harney and Harley Dighton have created a sound heavily influenced by Twenty One Pilots, Pale Waves, and Florence and the Machine (one of my personal favs). Personally, I think it’s working!

As a keyboard player, I love the vintage synth sounds. Also, I’m a huge fan of big spacey guitars so Danama is checking all of my boxes! As I say frequently in my reviews, I’m missing some sort of a bridge in this one. Mainly, I’m looking for something that sticks out and then brings it all back together. Maybe I’ll have to wait for the next single lol. Either way, this duo has a sound that will take them far, and if they hit that right single they could be easily catapulted into the mainstream.

I’m very excited to see what is in store for Danama. We’ve reviewed many great artists over the years and Danama is absolutely top tier. I encourage you to support them by sharing their music on social media and adding them to your playlists. It’s always great to find a group that is just starting out and follow their progress. Here’s your chance!

We’re curious to know what YOU think!! Let us know on social media @IndieMusicPlus and also let the artist know that you heard their music here first on Indie Music Plus! As always, thank you for reading and continuing to support indie music of all genres! Let us review YOUR music!
