John Michael Ferrari - My Heart Can't Breathe - Review

John Michael Ferrari is a singer/songwriter who’s been at it for a while. He’s recently released a new single “My Heart Can’t Breathe”. We played it on a recent episode of Indie Music LIVE! and I’m going to give you my thoughts here as well.

John Michael Ferrari

The thing about John Micahel Ferrari’s music is that it just feels good. His songs always have a strong message for the listener to contemplate while listening to some amazing musicianship as well. John’s new song “My Heart Can’t Breathe” is exactly that. I’m always reminded of Neil Diamond when I listen to John Michael Ferrari. Makes me all warm and fuzzy inside! The new single is a nice cross mix of soft rock and pop country. John’s voice sounds exquisite per usual and I really like the intermittent female backgrounds. The musicians blend and play together perfectly and the mix is great as well!

“My Heart” is almost the perfect pop song. It’s catchy, sounds good, and is just long enough for the listener to want more! That’s probably why John won the 2021 New Music Awards “Crossover Artist of the Year”. I always look forward to a new John Michael Ferrari tune and after I finish this review it looks like I’m forced to look forward to another. I can’t wait to hear new music from him!

According to his Wikipedia page, Ferrari presently has two versions of The John Michael Ferrari Band, one which performs in the greater Las Vegas area with Nevada players and the other in the greater Nashville area with Nashville players. Ferrari currently performs his original songs with Dr. John Nowins aka “Sexy Sticks” on drums, Dr. David Miller aka “The Professor” on bass, Dr. Bruce Topper aka Nomad on keys, Brad Torchin or Dylan Bodley on lead guitar, and the beautiful vocalists Katie Jensen, Carol Champney, Brandi MacLaren, and/or Tarryn Aimee.
