The Soularsapiens - Futuro - Review

The Soularsapiens are a group from Arizona. They identify as a jazz fusion band with Ebon Guerrero (vocals, sax, keys, bass), Garrison Guerrero (synths, percussion), and Jeremy Duffy (drums). They’ve released a new single “Futuro” and I think it’s their best yet.

The Soularsapiens

I think this group of musicians has grown a ton since my last interaction with their music. It just sounds so much more mature and put together. One influence or similarity I can hear right away is Hooverphonic and groups similar. I don’t know if this is intentional, I’m guessing not. However, I can’t help but hear some congruencies in the production sounds. Overall The Soularsapiens tunes are jazz/funk influences that incorporate grooves from various other genres such as hip-hop, rock, etc…

Their songs are usually heavy instrumental tracks but this time includes the lead vocals of Ebon. Musically everything fits nicely on “Futuro.” Ebon’s vocals sound cool with the vocoder distortion sound. While absorbing this song for this review I keep finding myself humming the melody in my head. That’s a good thing!

The overall soundscape is professional and a pleasure to listen to. I don’t hear anything sonically I would complain about. Everything is masterfully mastered and ready for mass consumption. So, all in all, I endorse the new track “Futuro” by The Soularsapiens! Now, jump in and let me know what YOU think!

Fans of electronica and more esoteric groups such as Delerium, Mono, Art of Noise, and others are going to love The Soularsapiens. I know these guys have been around for a few years but I think it’s getting to be their time of maturity. It’s time for the world to know!

We’re curious to know what YOU think!! Let us know on social media @IndieMusicPlus and also let the artist know that you heard their music here first on Indie Music Plus! As always, thank you for reading and continuing to support indie music of all genres! Let us review YOUR music!
