The Band Hennessy – Featured Artist

The Band HennessyIt still amazes me to this day how one small connection on the internet can lead to a larger one, sort of like planting a seed. All you have to do is get out there. You see, I was on Periscope one day doing one of our “Flash Promo” scopes and a guy by the name of Jerry Hardin popped in.

Jerry mentioned a band he manages called The Band Hennessy and so I listened to it, you can download them on iTunes HERE Almost immediately I told him to submit! So he sent an EPK and I was sold! So now here we are…a chance meeting turned into a featured artist slot. I interviewed the ladies of the group and found out something: They’re really cool!

The Band Hennessy is a Texas alternative rock band that brings an original take on what current alt rock has to offer.  Featuring 2 front female lead vocalists they’ve opened for numerous chart-topping bands such as Dead Sara, Hinder and Framing Hanley.

I had the extreme pleasure of interviewing the group a few nights before writing the feature. I learned the band is taking off! On top of having a rapidly growing fan base they’re also priming themselves for some upcoming high exposure gigs including opening for Lita Ford! The band is currently writing and getting ready to record a new release.

Once you listen to The Band Hennessy I think you’ll agree they have something special and unique about their music. I think having 2 female lead vocals both with extremely different sounds gives the band a pop appeal that few acts possess in today’s scene. I get excited every time I find a new up and coming band to not only feature here on the site but also to become a fan of their music.
